Orma

A Super Tuscan wine in Bolgheri

Orma

In 2004, Antonio Moretti, famous owner of the 300-hectare estate Tenuta Sette Ponti, decided to leave his « orma » in Tuscany by purchasinga new vineyard. In fact, Orma, which is the name of the first wine, means footprint in the Italian language.

This 7,5-hectare vineyard is located in Bolgheri, in the heart of the Tuscan area, just between the best Italian wines as Masseto, Ornellaia or Sassicaia.

The opportunity of this vineyard, which is combined with an exceptionnal know-how, made Orma an iconic wine even a Super Tuscan. It benefits from unique geographic conditions such as a Mediterranean microclimate, a chain of hills which protects the vineyard from cold winters, and two rivers which endlessly feed the subsoil.
