Located close to the city of Bordeaux and bordering on the Pessac-Léognan appellation, this 20-hectare vineyard was taken over in 1997 by Isabelle and Grégoire Gabin, who came from agricultural and winegrowing backgrounds. In the interest of quality, they undertook an ambitious restructuring of both the vineyard and cellar. The property is atypical due to the high percentage of Merlot, which accounts for the wine’s round, fruity flavour.
This largely Merlot-based wine was fermented and aged in vat. It has a lovely deep colour and aromas of red and black fruit that are totally in keeping with the smooth, elegant flavours on the palate underpinned by silky tannin and a beautiful long aftertaste.
